        Terrorism and the Global Economy. What will the September
11th bombings do to the world's immediate and long-term economic
structures? We'll hear from a stockbroker, Roger Ames of Raymond
James Financial Services, and Dr. Jim Brock, Bill R. Moeckel
Professor of Economics at Miami.

The Diane Rehm Show (10am - Noon)
        Hour One: News Roundup: Diane reviews the week's top news,
including the latest developments in the international fight against
terrorism, with a panel of journalists. Guests: Jodie Allen, US News
& World Report; Tony Blankley, Washington Times columnist; David
Corn, The Nation
        Hour two: Journalist Paul Dickson tells the story behind the
development and launch of Sputnik, the first satellite in space,
launched by the Soviets on October 4, 1957. In his new book "Sputnik:
Shock of the Century" (Walker Books), Dickson puts this technological
achievement into the context of cold war politics.

SPECIAL: NPR terrorism coverage/live national call-in (noon - 4pm)
        Neal Conan hosts NPR's special coverage. Pre-empts Fresh Air
and Public Interest.
