DETAILS:

Monday on Interconnect (9 - 10 am, repeated 7 - 8 pm)
        Spiritual Divorce. Debbie Ford, author

The Diane Rehm Show (10 am - noon)
Hour 1: Tax Cuts: President George W. Bush officially
proposed a tax cut to Congress after weeks of discussion about its
political and economic viability. A panel talks about what the
President is proposing, how it would work, who would benefit, and how
it would affect the economy and the rest of the federal budget.
Guests: Henry Aaron, Brookings Institution; Kevin Hassett, American
Enterprise Institute
Hour 2: Deborah Copaken Kogan: Photographer Deborah Copaken
Kogan spent her twenties traveling through war zones and hot spots
from Afghanistan to Haiti to Romania. In a new memoir, "Shutterbabe"
(Villard), she tells of her adventures, romances, and brushes with
death along the way.

Fresh Air (noon - 1 pm)
A conversation with WILL FRIEDWALD (FREED-wald). He wrote the
extensive liner notes that accompany a new ten CD collection of
singer Mildred Bailey's work. Learn all about the woman who helped
launch Bing Crosby's career.

Public Interest (1 - 2 pm)
"Cosmetic Cop": WHAT SHOULD MEN KNOW ABOUT SKIN CARE? CAN
BLACK, WHITE, AND ASIAN WOMEN USE THE SAME LIPSTICK? ANSWERS TO THESE
QUESTIONS AND MUCH MORE AS WE DEBUNK THE "SCIENCE" BEHIND CERTAIN
BEAUTY PRODUCTS AND TELL YOU WHICH COSMETICS DON'T LIVE UP TO THEIR
CLAIMS. Guest: Paula Begoun, author (Pub: Beginning Press, Seattle).

Talk of the Nation (2 - 4 pm).
Hour 1: WHO OWNS THE HUMAN GENOME?: For the past three years,
an international consortium and Celera, a private company, have been
scrambling to catalog all human genes. They've done it, and now the
mad dash continues because businesses want to claim exclusive rights
to the information. Owning the patents could mean lots of money but
many feel this information should be available free to the public.
Hour 2: FOREIGN VIEWS OF PRESIDENT BUSH: When George W. Bush
was on the campaign trail, his view of the world and America's role
in it included a stronger military, a tough line on Russia and China,
and a missile defense system. Now that he's president, what does the
rest of the world think of him?

All Things Considered (4 - 7 pm)
Many musical artists like Marvin Gaye and Coleman Hawkins
didn't always get their royalties. It turns out their paychecks and
those of many others are just waiting to be claimed. The state of
California is holding nearly three billion dollars in unclaimed
checks. And, if an employer ever failed to pay you, or you've
forgotten about a bank account, a state like California might have
YOUR money.

Wednesday on SoundHealth (9 - 10 am, repeated 7 - 8 pm)
        Heart health

Friday on WMUB Forum (9 - 10 am, repeated 7 - 8 pm)
Christianity in the 21st Century. How Christianity is
responding to and changing from America's push toward religious
pluralism.
