The Diane Rehm Show (10am - Noon)
Hour One: Migrant Workers: President Bush and Mexican
President Vicente Fox talked about opening up the border between the
two countries to allow greater movement of migrant workers. A panel
discusses the pros and cons of proposed changes in the laws governing
the employment of migrant workers. Guests: Mark Krikorian, Center for
Immigration Studies; Stephen Cohen, senior fellow with the Cato
Institute
Hour Two: Cultural historian Marilyn Yalom: Yalom tracks the
institution of marriage and how it has affected women's lives in her
new book, "A History of the Wife" (Harper Collins). She joins Diane
to tell about what marriages used to be like, and to talk about how
"the meaning of wife" has and hasn't changed over the years.

Fresh Air with Terry Gross (Noon - 1pm)
The new film "The Dish" tells a little known story: how a
small town radio telescope in Australia helped televise one of
history's most watched events, Neil Armstrong's historic
moonwalk.Hear from the film's director, ROB SITCH.

Hour Two: U.S. POLICY TOWARDS NORTH KOREA: President Bush met
with South Korean President Kim Dae Jung on Wednesday but said the
United States views North Korea as a threat and would not immediately
resume negotiations with the communist regime. How should the U-S
engage North Korea?

The concept of a missile defense system -- downing warheads
before they hit the U-S has long be criticized as impossible. But
advocates say it's too dangerous not to try.
