There is a way to disable the message --
put this line in your login.com file:
$define pine_warning off
 
I was told that it would remain experimental until the Help Desk had
documentation to support it, but the other day I was at the Help Desk (for
half an hour, but that's another story) and saw a staffer using a Target
Hotline station pull up pine, so it looks as if they can use it at the Help
Desk....
