I am interested in putting together a panel on the general theme of
alcoholism and gender for the 1997 meeting of the American Association
for the History of Medicine.  The conference will be April 3-6, 1997
in Williamsburg, Virginia.
 
We have two potential papers for the panel, both focusing on the U.S.
during the middle decades of the twentieth century.  We are interested
in including other paper(s) on other periods or countries as well.
 
The deadline for submission to the conference organizers is September 15, 1996.
