Dear Melanie:

The question about drinking age laws is a good one -- I'd like to know the
answer myself!

I read your posting to the Alcohol and Temperance History Group, and it
made me wonder if you have tried resources other than the internet. Very
often, with history questions, the internet is not the best place to find
the answer -- especially since you don't always know if the information you
find is trustworthy. For a question like yours, I recommend using good old
fashioned books -- maybe you could try a university in your area, or any
big research library.

I know, it's a pain, but that's what extra credit is all about, right? And
if you find the answer, I hope you'll let me know, or maybe even send a
message to the whole listserv.
