Drugs and Alcohol: Contested Histories

Northern Illinois University Press is proud to announce a new series on the
history of alcohol and drugs. Broadly conceived in chronological and
geographical scope, and under the direction of four internationally
renowned scholars, this series will investigate cultural, legal, economic,
and medical histories of alcohol, drugs, and other substances such as
coffee and tobacco. We envision books that offer both valuable perspectives
on timely issues and enjoyable reading for a wide audience.

  Series Advisory Board
David Courtwright, University of North Florida
David Fahey, Miami University (Ohio)
David Gutzke, Southwest Missouri State University
  James Mills, University of Strathclyde
