By my count, only roughly 30% of the members of ATHG's listserve group
are also members of the Alcohol and Temperance History Group (ATHG).
The following info is provided for nonmembers who may be interested in
joining ATHG and (with their memberships) beginning to receive _The
Social History of Alcohol Review_ (SHAR).  SHAR--now edited by W. Scott
Haine--offers rich troves of citations, abstracts, book reviews and
other offerings relating to current alcohol/temperance literature.
 
Annual Membership Dues are:
 
US$15 for North American members
US$20 for members in other countries
US$20 for institutional members and libraries
 
Renewals are due at the beginning of the academic year in the Fall.

NB:  Please make checks payable to the Alcohol and Temperance History
Group, and pay in U.S. dollars.  Bank charges of around $35 are levied
on each check that is not drawn on a U.S. bank.  Please be sure to ask
your bank to provide you with a check or draft order that is drawn on a
U.S. bank (usually it is one in New York).  If this is not possible,
please send a Postal Money Order.
