FYI--for you literary types--from the VICTORIA listserv. Jon
-------------------------------------------------------------

There is a new section on alcohol and temperance on the "Jekyll and Hyde"
web site. My thanks to Thomas Reed and Nicole Slagle for allowing me to
use part of their fascinating paper on "The Transforming Draught" at the
MLA special seesion on "Jekyll and Hyde and its Cultural Anxieties." To
go straight to their section go to:

http://www.uta.edu/english/danahay/alcoholmain.html

I have slimmed down the main "Jekyll and Hyde" page to a minimum of
graphics after I tried accessing it from home and it took forever to load.
I hope it is now more user-friendly for those without a high speed
connection.
