CALL FOR PAPERS for a proposed Organization of American Historians
(Washington, DC) 2006 panel on the medical and humanitarian responses
to alcohol consumption in the early American republic. Papers sought
that examine how and why different groups of physicians, reformers,
ministers, and families met the challenge of the alcoholic republic.
