The National Good Templar, Jul-August 1997, had a couple of articles on the
alcopops revolution in the UK, with drinks such as Moo, an alcoholic milkshake
in banana and strawberry flavors. The Sun tabloid reports that 59% of
teenagers drink alcopops and that 94% of those between 14 and 17 drink alcohol
weekly. By the way alcopops contain up to 5% alcohol which is more than most
beers. The new home secretary Jack Straw has ordered an investigation.
