One important matter that I failed to observe about the Ohio Historical
Society/ Westerville Public Library collection of Anti Saloon League
material: a large number of boxes were never processed, and never filmed.
These boxes contain mostly documents generated after the repeal of
prohibition. I was not allowed to look at those boxes during my research
for the book I wrote, being told there was no pre-1933 material in them.
Years later I was allowed to look in them, and, almost all of the material
is post-1933, but I did find some few files of pre-1933 documents, for the
most part about the wording of the 18th Amendment. There is no inventory
for these boxes that I am aware of.
