May I suggest a few kinds of book reviews and annouoncements for electronic
publication on the ATHG listserv group?  One would be an announcement and
summary of new books by authors.   Since we are varied by discipline and by
geographical, thematic, and chronological specialization, we easily can miss
publications that in fact are relevant to our individual interests.  Another
would be reviews of recent books written by others.  I think it impractical to
set up a system of commissioning reviews, so this would be on a self-assigned
basis.  Finally, I suggest retrospective reviews of major works, the classic
works in our overlapping fields.
