David:  I didn't see the article.  What exactly is Butterfield's
empirical basis for the assertion that "bar-room" (or, that old
standard, "barroom"--which always looks so odd!) brawls are declining?
I don't seem to recall that classification in the usual mortality
reports.  Thanks.  Ron
