Betty Morefield:

In reference to your query -- you might try this book. (If you have trouble
locating it, the Library Company of Philadelphia has a copy -- but you
would have to read it here in our reading room.)

Stebbins, J. E. (Jane E.) Fifty years history of the temperance cause.
Hartford : L. Stebbins, 1874.
500 p., [2] leaves of plates : ill. ; 22 cm.

From the title page:

"Describing ... open and secret temperance societies, Washingtonians, Good
Templars, Good Samaritans, Daughters of Samaria, etc., from the first
organized society to the present time."
