One of my senior seminar students hopes to do research on alcohol and
professional baseball. Presumably issues would include sale of beer
at ball parks, beer advertising at ball parks and on radio and TV
broadcasts, and beer and other alcohol advertising by baseball
players. Is there any historical or sociological literature on such
topics? I assume that there must have been controversy about bring
beer into ball parks after the end of National Prohibition.
