The ATHG will present a session in conjunction with the meeting of the
American Historical Association in Washington, DC.  The ATHG session will
be on Friday, 8 January 1999, 9:30-11:30 am, at the Marriott (Taft Room).
The session title is "The Construction of Alcoholism: Gender, Discourse,
and the Media."  Papers will be presented by Katherine Chavigny, Michelle
McClellan, and Janet Golden, followed by a comment by Scott C. Martin.
Chairing the session will be W. Scott Haine.
