Nancy: For research papers on alcoholism and impotency, the place to
look is MEDLINE. A particularly good public interface is the
National Library of Medicine's PubMed, in its Advanced search mode
<http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/PubMed/medline.html>. Here you can
search for the Medical Subject Heading (MeSH) alcoholism, restricting
your findings to papers also indexed under the MeSH impotence. (The
MeSH for "impotency" is "impotence.") This search produces 64
citations. Further limiting these results to the language English
reduces the list to 46 papers. Many of these have on-line abstracts.
Ultimately, however, you will need to visit a health science library
to read papers in their entirety (though institutional access to
full-text journals is getting better).
