Yes I am sure that Bishop's collection is rich.  He supplied me with a
great number of materials during the course of my dissertation and book
research.  He had lots of historical material on ASL, WCTU, and Prohibition
party -- which were not his central interest -- which is AA and its
antecedants.  The story was that he acquired the original Anti-Saloon
League papers after the Ohio Historical Society completed their
microfiliming.  Austin Kerr probably knows the details, if any, about that.
I am inclinded to believe it as he used to wrap books to me in typescripts
by Ernest Cherrington.  I still get a mailing from him every Chrsitmas time
that focuses on the Sobriety calender.
