The quickest and still probably the best source on Towns and the belladonna
cure remains David Musto's <The American Disease: Origins of Narcotic
Control> Oxford Press c. 1973, 1987, 77-82.  The real question was what was
someone like William Silkworth (Dr. Bill) doing with Towns?
