Iyna -- Just a hint that you might want to look at the film The Wet
Parade (1932), based on an Upton Sinclair novel which is both a
temperance tale and a novel-à-clef. I suspect that the Jimmy Durante
character in it may have been loosely patterned after one or both of
these agents. Robin Room

Subject: Einstein and Smith

I'm conducting research on the New York City prohibition agents, Izzy
Einstein and Moe Smith. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has
information on these men.

Thank you.
