To clarify by way of illustration what I said before:  the editor of the
Social History of Alcohol Review, Scott Haine <[log in to unmask]>, welcomes
such news as announcements of conferences, books published, conference
papers presented, awards and research grants received, new jobs, etc.  If
he receives such news SOON he can include it in the issue of the SHAR which
is about to go the printer.
