Hi, Everyone,

Here's info on a talk some of you and/or your students may be interested in.  On Thursday, Dec. 1 at 4pm in BAC 337 Sergio Figueiredo will present a talk "Un/Composing (Visual) Rhetorics."  Sergio is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at Miami, working primarily in the field of digital humanities. Sergio researches how artists have theorized and practiced digital media in imaginative ways in relation to issues of social and political justice. His current book manuscript addresses the 9/11 Commission’s recommendation of ‘bureaucratizing the imagination’ and the ways in which art and digital humanities offer us the potential to revive imaginative composing processes as derived from avant-garde artists.
