Hi all,

just a couple of items that I would like to make sure that everyone is aware of and/or can share with their students.

Room 27 is open to IMS students, if you could tell your students that if they are the last to leave the room in the evening or over night that they close the door behind them. Security is finding the door open and other students using the room who are not connected with IMS.

Room 29/30 the Usability rooms have also been found wide open past midnight, if you are allowing students to use these rooms please ask them to make sure they close/lock up when finished.

Room 28 is the Libraries Gaming Lab and we were getting ready for this weekend's game jam and have learned that since we opened on Jan. 11, we have already had one theft of a game. Legend of Zelda- Twilight Princess is already gone missing from the room. Please please, try to help us retain these materials. After the game jam, the items will be barcoded, marked with security tape (hidden as much as possible) and cataloged so we can have a better tracking method. I may or may not have funding to replace games that go missing.

We had a theft last week on the ground floor right by this area. A student's laptop was stolen while she was in the bathroom, so please be aware of this. We have security cameras but it doesn't always catch the culprit.

I had hoped to share this in person but can not attend the meeting on friday,
sorry,
lisa
