Friends and Colleagues:
As you may know, we're organizing a series of Digital Ethics talks and
presentations to coincide with the 2013 GeoGebra North America
Conference held on campus next August. The presentations cover a
wide range of topics that should be of interest to faculty in many
areas of the university (not just math folks). These include, but not
limited to, the following: (a) Copyright; (b) Open Access Initiatives;
(c) Free Software Movement; (d) Privacy and Social Media; (e) Copyleft
. . . and so forth. :)
I can use your help in two ways:
1. Spread the word about the Digital Ethics portion of the conference
(distribute attached flyer via Twitter, Facebook, etc.). Forward to
anyone I may have left off this message.
2. Register for the conference and/or sign up to give a talk.
Encourage your students to do so, too.
Note that Bo Brinkman and Jen Waller are both on our program. Richard
Stallman, founder of the Free Software Foundation, is travelling from
New York to deliver Sunday keynote.
Propose a talk by clicking on the link below (select a presenter
ticket; You'll be prompted for more information):

If you're willing, consider donating $5 towards the conference. It's
free for teachers and students and funded largely by small donations.
We're currently raising money to cover keynote travel costs. Learn

We raised nearly $1200 last year, but so far only have $20!!! (Help!)
Thanks again,
Todd Edwards
