Hi everyone,
Just another quick reminder about the Femme Fatale Film Festival. This Thursday night we will be screening the film Detour, an absolutely *fantastic* b-film ... which Martin Scorsese once referred to as his "favorite film noir." The Femme Fatale this time around is Vera, played be a mean, angry, and cynical Ann Savage who certainly gives us the opportunity to question many of the conventions about what a "femme fatale" is.
If this isn't enough to encourage you or your students to attend, it's a short movie at only 68 minutes long! Please encourage your classes and (if possible) offer extra credit.
The screening will be at 7pm at the MU Art Museum. This event is free and open to the public. Feel free to pop by following the AIMS event on Thursday afternoon.
I look forward to seeing everyone there!
