Hello all :)

I hope everyone is enjoying their first week of classes!!  I just wanted to let you all know of some upcoming events: 

Friday, January 15:  Students/Staff Diversity Mixer 
4-7pm, 1809 Room:  This event was created so that the Multicultural students at Miami University could get to know the faculty a little better.

Saturday, January 16:  Immigration Reform Rally (PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU NEED TRANSPORTATION THERE)
Hartwell  Center (Cincinnati), 2pm:  Cincinnati Interfaith Workers Center is working with local unions, community and religious organizations and Reform America in fighting for real immigration reform next year. With the recent Ohio DMV decision to deny  vehicle registration to immigrants without social security numbers it is now important than ever that we work together for the legalization of the millions of immigrants in our country.

Monday, January 18:  MLK Commemoration 
Uptown Oxford Memorial Park, 10 am:  The annual MLK Commemoration event entails a brief opening program at the Uptown Oxford Memorial park and pavilion, with addresses from leaders from the student body, university administration, community children, the City of Oxford, and community religious groups. Following the Uptown event will be a commemorative march around campus. The march ends this year at Hall Auditorium, where short addresses are offered in reflection of this da

ALAS GENERAL BODY MEETING (GBM):  The next GBM will be on Tuesday, January 19 at 7pm in 336 Shriver.
