Subject: Volunteers needed!

Hi everyone,

We are looking for volunteers to help out with the annual Human Rights and Social Justice Day on November 14th. Please pass on this information to your respective groups and organizations. Details are as follows:

Volunteers are needed for 1-2 hour blocks (or more if you would like!) Breakfast/snacks and luncheon buffet will be provided for all volunteers.

Volunteers are needed for:
-          the registration/information table
-          the distribution of parking permits
-          loading (helping guest organizations)

-          film festival (basic technology skills required)
-          Information Fair (communication skills required)

Typical Duties for Information Fair volunteers:
                - attend a training meeting on Thursday, November 8 or Friday, November 9 at noon at MMH 107 to review in advance the promotional materials of the organization they will represent. Based on time                     availability, individual meetings can be scheduled.
                - bring information about the goals, strategies and programs of one of the organizations that can't staff the table but sent their promotional materials to be display at the Information Fair,
                - report to the Volunteer Registration Table at the information Fair Registration prior to her/his scheduled shift to pick up the evaluation forms and identification tag, and at the end of her/his shift, report                            back to the Volunteer Registration Table to drop of the evaluation forms. Encourage people to complete evaluations,
                - wear a white top and a hanging name tag that will identify her/him as a volunteer,
                - set up the table of the organization they will represent and collect the displays at the end of the fair,
                - thank people for attending the Information Fair and invite them to attend other activities available during the day (such as the Film Festival, Special presentations,  Keynote, Proclamation of the Day)
