Vice President= takes over when President can’t, leads/organizes committees in order to help the Exec board, mainly chairs Relay for Life/ALAS Week, deals mostly with Committee members and other General Body members

Secretary= takes minutes, makes rough drafts of agendas for General Body meetings (President finalizes it), keeps all members organized with updates and information (which is a 24/7 job!), writes weekly newsletter, keeps track of all members, documents anything else important to the organization

Treasurer= controls all of the organization’s money/budget (cash, on-campus account, etc.), asks for funding for major events, sets up fundraisers, mainly chairs USHLI conference

Publicity= produces posters/facebook event invitations/banners/etc. for all events in a timely and efficient manner, should use creativity to constantly explore new ways to market ALAS, mainly chairs Mega Fair/Pre-FYI

External Relations= attends Diversity Affairs Council meetings and participates in their activities (report this info. back to ALAS), attend meetings with the President when ALAS representation is required, keep close contact with other organizations on and off campus, encourage involvement with other organizations’ activities, mainly chairs Collaborative Potluck with other organizations (or some other event with many organizations participating)

Webmaster= keeps track of electronic listserv, creates/updates website/Blackboard, should work with Publicity to creatively explore new ways to market ALAS on the web, currently is not a main chair of an annual major ALAS event but was main chair of the Ohio State University Spanish Play this past year

All Executive Board Members= must attend most General Body and Exec meetings (preferably all meetings), must attend as many ALAS events as possible, is responsible for final outcome of ALL ALAS events, must support each other at all times, substitute jobs if one can’t handle something at the time, help make decisions, support and interact with General Body Members, gain experience in running an organization, develop leadership skills, be proud of your hard work, gain lifetime friends and have lots of fun! :)

Hope everyone can make it, bring a friend! Also, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact our President, Michelle, at [log in to unmask]
