September 28, the Hamilton campus is having their Fiesta de Unidad from 4-8pm. I attached the flyer from the event here, as well as the exhibitor registration form for ALAS Oxford to have an information table during the event. ALAS Oxford cold get a van or two from motor pool (they need 48 hours advance notice for van reservations) and drive together to/from the event.
I encourage you to participate in this event. As some of you are well aware of, Hamilton's Latino community has not been embraced by other communities in the city, and many Latinos have migrated out of Southeastern Ohio to more hospitable locales. Attending this event is a simple gesture for students to show their support for ALAS Hamilton, Hamilton's Latino community, and your fellow students on the Hamilton campus, while enjoying Latin American culture in the United States. I would suggest contacting the officers of ALAS Hamilton to participate in this event.
Is anyone wanting to participate in this event?? LET ME KNOW :)
