What is Global Village? Global Village is an annual event hosted by
AIESEC.
AIESEC's Mission: By Developing individuals, we contribute to the
development of our communities with an overriding commitment to
international understanding and cooperation. By hosting Global Village we
aim to promote various cultures. At Global Village, we will have
different
tables set up to represent each country. Each table could include things
like info, pics, items, and food representing a culture/country. We need
to
know which country/countries your organization will be representing at
Global Village and we need to have your recipes for the food you would
like
to make. AIESEC will purchase all the ingredients and deliver them to
you 2
days before the day of Global Village. We applied for unity funding to
help
cover the cost of food and we will be contacting ethnic food stores for
donations. It is very important that we have your ingredients and recipes
as soon as possible. We are also contacting various groups for
entertainment. So far we have a band, Vision Dance, and the West African
Drum Group. We will also have activities for elementary kids to do at the
event. If there is something that you would like to teach the kids like a
song or dance or activity please let me know.

You can also check out http://globalvillage.aiesecws to check some of the
pics from two years ago. We are in the process of updating the info on
it.
