Colleagues,
Regrettably, I have some rather bad news about our colleague, Cyril
Daddieh. Some of you may know that Cyril was scheduled for what
appeared to be routine gall bladder surgery during the break week and
many called this office after hearing rumors about his grave
illness. Cyril called us this morning to explain that serious
complications concerning his liver arose after the surgery and that
he has now been admitted to UC hospital for a series of tests to see
if
he is in need of a transplant. He made arrangements
regarding his class today and told us he would have a better idea
about
his availability later in the week. It appears probable that
he may be out long-term and the Dean's office is now aware of the
situation. The programs office would like to send a token of our
support and well wishes to Cyril and his family. If you would like to
make a donation, please bring it to René McKinstry in 120
MacMillan. If you would prefer to send something directly, you can
call 513-584-0000 for his room information.
Thank You.
Dan Staniforth, Rene McKinstry, CAS Programs Office
