OK, I just tried to post the message below + sendraw as attachment, but
the listserv won't take attachments. The link in my message should get
you to the program, though.

If you use it, please let me know what you think!

Beth

Hello, all,

I've attached a copy of SenDraw and hope it isn't too massive for the
listserv. This program was created by some graduate software
engineering students for my online grammar classes.

Feel free to use it, with the proviso that UCF retains copyright and
bears no responsibility for any adverse effects. (Somewhere I have a
legal disclaimer to that effect, but it will take awhile to dig out so
I'll just send this now rather than make you wait while I look.)

SenDraw works a lot like Paint, except that it saves in its own format
(the usual formats, jpg, gif, etc. being proprietary). You must have
SenDraw in order to read SenDraw diagrams.

SenDrawA is a version that works better with some printers. Try
SenDraw and if your diagrams don't print correctly, try SenDrawA. Both
versions are designed for pc, not mac.

This software serves a useful purpose for my online classes, but it has
some rough edges.

An easier, albeit pricier, option is to buy an optical pen from
logitech (about $180 when I purchased mine). With the pen, you can draw
a diagram freehand and the pen will record it. You plug the pen into a
holder and the diagram uploads from the pen into your computer in jpg
format. While the pen is much easier to use and is more versatile, it
obviously is a bit too expensive for students.

I think the webct folks also still have my grammar class online, where
SenDraw is also available, along with an online user manual. Try this

Hope this helps!
