Dear everyone

Today, I want to ask about the collocation of the noun "right".
One of my colleagues insists that in the following sentence
native speakers use "win" but not other synonyms such as "achieve",
"acquire",
"get", "obtain".
Is ir true?

It was only after the First World War that women in Britain won the right
to vote.

Thanks in advance.
