In my previous message, I think I included the phrase "flaunts logic." I do indeed know that it should be "flouts logic." To make matters worse, I had covered this particular kind of goof in my class last week (and of all places to make that mistake.....). I thought I'd better correct myself before someone hit me with an "ad homonym" criticism. -- Bill Spruiell
