I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has sent in
questions for the Master of Science in TESOL degree program and TESOL
certificate programs taught by Professor David Nunan at Newport Asia
Pacific University. I am now proud to announce that I am completely caught
up in responding to all of your questions regarding NAPU's scholarship
programs. If your question was not addressed, please resend it as
according to my records, I have given personal responses to each of you.
To date, 15 full and partial scholarships have been awarded and there are
currently 49 scholarships of various amounts available in all categories
listed on the website. The deadline for enrollment in Cohort Three which
begins on August 10th is July 10th, 1998. There is an online catalog,
application form and exact scholarship details on Newport Asia Pacific
University's website at http://www.asiapacificu.edu

Students enrolling by July 10th and wishing to complete the entire degree
program will be required to attend two four-day residency sessions in the
Tokyo area during their term of study. The first residency session will be
held from October 22nd through October 25th in Kita-ku, Tokyo, Japan.

During this four-day session, students will participate in a workshop
entitled "Curriculum Development" taught by Professor David Nunan. For
those of your wishing to participate in the workshop only, the fee of the
workshop is 72,000 yen, and space is extremely limited.

To request information about the workshop, you may contact me at
