My household includes a conure & cockatiel. When the latter is in a good mood, it makes a sound we call "R2ing" because it sounds like R2-D2 from Star Wars fame (try saying "R2-D2ing"--it just doesn't work).

Right, pigoens coo. Owls hoot (at least Great Horned owls do). Other
birds not only chirp but also tweet. Hawks and eagles screech. There
must be more than this ... I'm a birdwatcher, and this doesn't come
close to the variety of sounds birds make!!
