Ed,
   I think many of us involved in teaching grammar think of "minimalism"
in relation to pedagogy rather than structural theory (and I have no
idea of which was requested.)  Like so many terms, it can mean
different things in different contexts (disciplines.) So you have
raised my curiosity.  Have you read the book? What does he mean by
minimalist?
