For a statement like this, we should be asking what kind of grammar
Caroline has in mind and what her purpose is for teaching it. Also, what
makes her think that teaching this kind of grammar will accomplish this
purpose?

I don't mean to pick on Caroline here, but her short statement of opinion
lends itself to asking these questions.
