Dear B-Org Presidents,

The Farmer School has a group of recent alumni called Young Professionals Advisory Council (YPAC) who return to campus every spring to meet with the Dean, faculty and administrators.

One of the initiatives that YPAC would like to implement is helping student organizations. Since many of the young alumni were members of business student orgs, they would like to give back and help support the orgs in some way. Tracy Niederhelman Marks, class of 2008 is heading up this effort. One idea is to have Student Organizations sign up to have a YPAC member or members serve as a professional adviser for the upcoming academic year...fall 2015.

The YPAC advisers are for your organization to partner with however you see fit, and can be of assistance with the following items:

Benefits of having a YPAC Mentor:
-Help solve organization problems (i.e. low membership or engagement, issues with retention)
-Direct access to alumni of your organization
-Access to career speakers and presenters
-Help with resume development for members
-Assistance for members with transition from academic life to professional life

Could you please email me back if your organization would like to have a YPAC members serve as a professional advisor to your group? Here's a link to a list of YPAC members in FSB: http://miamioh.edu/fsb/focus-areas/strategic-partners/ypac/index.html
