Subject: [narst] Climate change curriculum development international
collaboration grant opportunity

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to bring to your attention the following grant opportunity. The
following information is copied and pasted from the Introduction in the
grant announcement -- please see the full announcement for complete
information. The grant announcement document is larger than 200kb so the
listserv prevented me from attaching it, however you can download the
document from the following link:

----------
On a competitive basis, and assuming a sufficient quantity of meritorious
proposals, the U.S. Civilian Research & Development Foundation (CRDF) will
provide up to 5 awards to advance climate change curricula in higher
education. Each six-month award will provide up to 15,000 USD for teams with
at least one U.S. participant and including at least one collaborator from
Armenia, Azerbaijan, or Georgia.

The goal of this program is to support U.S.-Caucasus collaborations that
provide mutual benefit in advancing climate change curricula in higher
education. Funding may support, for example, collaborations that develop new
curricular materials, teaching methodologies, degree programs, educational
standards, or collaborations that prepare applications to larger funding
opportunities.

All funding decisions will be based on independent, peer-reviewed
assessments of each project and will be determined by the merit of the
applications as defined by the review criteria in this announcement.

The deadline for proposal submission is 11 October 2010 at 18:00 (GMT-4).
Proposals should be submitted via email to CRDF at [log in to unmask] The
results for this competition are expected to be announced on 19 November
2010.
----------

Sincerely,
Hannah Sevian
