I have two I like

The forensics based one that Willy talked about is a really interesting text and I used it most recently in a gen Ed Chem that was advertised with a forensics perspective. It was filled with engaged students.

The other text is the Extraordinary Chemistry of Ordinary Things by Snyder. Just a good over all text.
