Dear Colleagues,

Just a quick note to remind you that the deadline for abstract submission for the ACS Peer-reviewed chemistry education research symposium is quickly approaching.  Pertinent information is again included below:

The Chemical Education Research Committee of DivCHED will sponsor a peer-reviewed symposium at the Spring 2013 ACS National meeting. This symposium will allow for longer presentations of completed chemical education research (up to 30 minutes). The review will be conducted through the submission of extended abstracts (1000 words in length) that include the study's theoretical basis or rationale, the research questions posed, a brief methodology, analysis, and summary of findings. All abstracts submitted for consideration to this symposium must be received by September 4, 2012. Submissions will be double-blind reviewed. Reviews will be sent to authors no later than October 2, 2012. Those invited to submit abstracts will do so online through PACS for this symposium by October 29, 1012. Those not invited, will be encouraged to submit abstracts to the regular CER symposium. Submissions of the 1000 word abstracts for this peer reviewed CER symposium should be uploaded to http://chemed.tamu.edu/acssymp . Graduate students and post-docs are encouraged to submit.
