From the start we pointed wireless through CCA. As we begin to implement
Airespace (another Cisco acquistion, darn them), we use the Airespace interface
to manage the APs themselves, but have CCA issue DHCP assignments and manage
authentication. Fairly straightforward to work with, and the user sees the
standard presentation no matter which interface is active.
We also have not messed with WEP/WPA, mostly as we got into wireless first when
40-bit keys were the best that could be done and all the vendors were
inter-uncooperative ;-) As we have a need for encryption protected traffic in
both wired and wireless segments, we're implementing VPN to answer both with a
single solution.
Simple really is better.
