I have created a check that tests that a Windows Automatic Update log file is updated at least weekly:
$SYSTEM_ROOT\SoftwareDistribution\ReportingEvents.log later than [M](system date - 9 days)
This fails every time, even when the file's modification date is today's date. I changed this check to a 'file exists' check and that passes just fine so there is no problem finding the file - the problem is with the date compare. Anyone else having a problem with date compare function or better yet anyone know what I can do to fix this? I have a TAC case on it but I am thinking that this group may get me an answer faster.
I have a similar date compare based on a date as registry value and that work great.
Thanks in advance!
Chris
