I wouldn't hold your breath. I just opened a TAC case today and was
told by the CSR that "this is the busiest department, so it may take
a while for them to get to you."
More constructively, keep in mind that Software Update is turned on
by default in OS X, so if they are connected to the network, they
should be getting nagged by the update screen at least once a week.
What I've seen in practice is that students tend to go ahead and
update when it tells them to.
