Ken,
If you do a nslookup for a random website, say www.cnn.com, or something
like that from a machine that is as yet unauthenticated, what happens?
Does it resolve correctly? If it does, then the user should be
redirected.
Also, is there an http proxy by any chance?
-Rajesh.

Subject: weblogin redirect question
I am having a little problem that i was hoping the users group could
help me with so i don't have to spend a lot of timing running it down.
When users are on the unauthenticated vlan and try to use the web they
get redirected to the login page (well are suppose to). I am having an
issue where it does not redirect all the time. It does redirect
everytime if an ip address is entered (199.x.x.x for example) but if
they enter a dns name (coke.com for ex.) it will not redirect them.
The only time it seems to redirect on a dns entry is if users type in
our main college page (www.marietta.edu).
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ken Nelson
