Gerald R. Miller Book and Franklin H. Knower Article Awards
 
The Interpersonal and Small Group Interaction Division of the
Speech Communication Association is proud to announce the call
for its annual book and article awards.  These awards acknowledge
research that has made, or offers the promise of, significant contribution
to scholarship in Interpersonal and Small Group Communication.
 
Nominations for these awards must be in the form of a letter submitted
by 15 JUNE 1996 and include the following information.  For the
Gerald R. Miller Book Award, a complete bibliographic citation;
a brief (i.e., around 100 words) rationale stating reasons for
the nomination; a copy of a book review and/or evidence of appraisal;
ISBN number; and a copy of the book.
 
Franklin H. Knower Article Award nomination letters must also be
submitted by 15 June 1996 and include a complete bibliographic
citation; a brief (i.e., around 100 words) rationale stating the
reasons for the nomination; and one complete clear copy of the article
or chapter nominated.  Author(s) of the nominated works must be
members of the Interpersonal and Small Group Interaction Division;
nominated works must be originally published no earlier than 1993; and
nominations must be made by someone other than the work"s author(s).
