Us in the Big East tend to think of ND as Notre Dame except in football.

ND....now would that be NORTH DAKOTA? ....the University of North Dakota
alas, came in second last weekend in the national title match for NCAA
Division II women's basketball. The men's hockey team is in the final four
aka the frozen four, national championship games this weekend.

and yes I know that may not have been what was meant by ND but it is what
ND means for me.
