	It's a boy! 

	  

	At 10:57 pm on 9/2, my wife Laura gave birth a healthy baby boy.  His name is Ryan and he and mom are doing just fine.  He's a big boy at 8 pounds and 7 ounces.  He has a thick head of hair and enjoys being rocked to sleep, which seems to be one of his favorite activities. 

	  

	Laura and I are absolutely thrilled.  I had no idea how wonderful it would be to become a father.  Words just can't describe it. 

	

	Thanks to everyone I spoke with in Ottawa for all the great labor and delivery advice.  Ok, now off to bed for a long night's rest. Ha!
